Incoco Behind the Scenes at NYFW

If you've ever been backstage at any Fashion Week show, then you already know that it's a whirlwind of hairspray, makeup brushes, flash photography, and long legs! Not to mention the tight corridors and crazy time crunches. And yet, somehow, the unthinkable always manages to happen without fail—beauty is created out of chaos just in time for the catwalk to come alive.

Incoco had the privilege of going behind the scenes during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at both the Vivienne Tam AND Dennis Basso Spring 2014 shows in New York! Our manicurist teams were right inside the action, making each show's 20-something models' nails and toes look super fab as per each designer's request.

Vivienne Tam's team chose Incoco's frost finished vibrant mango shade, Mango Tango, for the models' pedicures and left their fingernails bare. This obviously talented designer's casual new threads were inspired by 1930s Shanghai calendar girls. The runway was draped in gorgeous floral prints, high-low hems, and origami detail. Makeup was subdued—natural and glossy—while the hair, styled by TRESemme, was given a natural matte blowout. The Mango Tango toes looked fierce and fashion-forward when styled with the multi-colored prints of the runway. Everything came together gorgeously, and although we can't speak for Vivienne Tam, we think the designer should have been very pleased with the overall representation of her brand in the show.

Below are a few before/after shots of the models getting ready backstage, and how they looked strutting down the runway. (We got up close and personal on their dainty feet to show off those Mango Tango piggies!)

Dennis Basso's team chose Incoco's soon to be released sheer shade, Like a Dream, for the models' manicures, and Incoco's flush pink nail color, Angel Blush, for their toes. Inspired by old Hollywood glamour, the designer's elegant, formal collection ranged in fabric and pattern—from satin gowns to his signature fur jackets. The models donned loosely tied up pony-tails and bright red lips to compliment the high-class collection. Incoco's simple, soft, and subtle nail colors were the perfect finishing touch to each of the 37 runway looks, keeping the focus on the beautiful frocks and encompassing this particular designer's vision. Dennis Basso's designs came together exquisitely, igniting the runway, as per usual, with creativity and class.

Check out the photos below for the before/after shots from this particular show. The sheer pink fingernails and blush toes by Incoco looked just stunning.
